Guapamacataro Ecology + Art Residency 2013
Maravatio, Mexico

In collaboration with Natalie Biesel

During the 3-week residency Natalie and I took portraits of local children, created an altar to youth and nature on the backside of the church on site, planted 3 trees on the hacienda property, and created paper butterflies (with the help of the other residents and local children) each with a seed embedded inside so they could fall and plant more trees.

The work was inspired from our trip to the Monarch Butterfly Sanctuary, the local children and flora.
