A barefoot walk connecting as much grass as possible
2015

I walked barefoot from my home to school connecting as much grass as possible. I tracked my path using GPS, photographed every 500 steps, documented sound, counted my steps with a pedometer, timed the duration, measured the elevation change, and took a print of my feet every mile.

The resulting interactive installation allowed the viewer to listen to the sounds of my steps as they stepped barefoot on similar surfaces of my walk. Utilizing an arduino-based MakeyMakey, when the grass pads were touched, the slideshow on the TV monitor progressed through the photographs of my walk. The foot prints were suspended just to the right.
